Our Story Matters

Metro Parlez-Ment was built on a simple belief that communities thrive when people care for one another

Who We Are

Metro Parlez-Ment, also known as Port Harcourt Parliament, began over 20 years ago when a group of young professionals came together to discuss current affairs and build meaningful relationships. Inspired by a shared desire to make a positive impact, the group transitioned into organized charitable work.

In September 2007, the organization was officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) as a non-ethnic, non-religious, and non-political social and philanthropic organization with 30 founding members. Guided by a registered Board of Trustees, Metro Parlez-Ment is committed to improving lives through consistent community service.

Over the years, the organization has expanded its charitable initiatives to include medical support for indigent patients, assistance to orphanages and charity homes, educational sponsorships, school equipment donations, correctional centre rehabilitation, and collaborative community outreach programs, including partnerships supporting widows.

Today, Metro Parlez-Ment has grown to 58 members, including diaspora members in Lagos, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States, who actively participate in the organization's activities virtually. The organization remains dedicated to its mission of carrying out charity with a pure heart and creating lasting positive impact in communities across Nigeria.
